Sunday, May 12, 2013 Before Sunrise at 6:00 am and at sunrise at 6:30 am (above).
It is nesting season and the Loggerheads and the Leatherbacks are making their annual crawl to the beach to nest. One track was tied to an 800 lb Leatherback. In the evening prior, we witnessed a Loggerhead’s crawl and dig. In the early hours of this morning, we saw the activity we missed the evening before.
The digs and tracks riddle this secluded area of the coastline. It is breathtaking to witness.
